Larry Needlemeyer
Larry Needlemeyer A small part was played by Larry Needlemeyer in The Amazing World of Gumball. He had a general dislike for the Watterson family prior to the Pizza incidents, but after they apologise for upsetting him and causing him to resign from every job, he alters his opinion. Despite his best efforts to keep all of his employment, Larry has been dismissed at least once. He was known as Lazy Larry and was thought to be Elmore’s laziest person before Richard stole that distinction in the summer of 1983.
Personality
Larry is a serious, dedicated person who is not easily convinced. He works multiple jobs in the Elmore region, from cashier to store clerk, and is excellent at each one. However, he either accidentally shoots himself on a number of these instances or is encouraged to do so by a Watterson family member. However, “The Laziest” shows that Larry has a history of being unmotivated. He seems to be a forgiving person, as evidenced in “The Pizza.” He frequently exhibits symptoms of sleep deprivation, typically as a result of working both day and night shifts.
Trivia
He is engaged to Karen, and it is a recurrent joke in the programme that he wants to pop the question to Karen but is unable to do so because of events that are out of his control. It has already happened in The Laziest, The Goons, The Shippening, and on Anais’ Flickr, if this is considered canon.
Larry claims to work at The Schooling and make $7 an hour.
In The Night, he claims he doesn’t sleep, but in The Question, he claims it’s a typical part of his day.
As seen in The Finale, he works a variety of professions to make up for the Wattersons’ destruction.
The restraining order Larry has against the Watterson family is also mentioned in the finale.
