The UGC NET and KSET are two separate exams, so it’s only logical to think that their syllabus would be too. Although both examinations provide the same job role, the assistant professor or lecturer posts are different. One is conducted on a national level, and the other is on a state level. The UGC NET is not the only NET, and just like KSET is not the only SET exam. NET stands for National Eligibility Test, and SET stands for State Eligibility Test.
There is an ICAR NET exam, a CSIR NETexam, and many others. The ICAR NET exam stands for the Indian Council of Agriculture and Research. The same goes for SET. There’s KSET, which stands for Karnataka SET exam, and then WB SET, which stands for West Bengal SET exam, and the same goes for all other states.

Differences Between the UGC NET and the KSET Exam Pattern

If you belong to an unreserved category, you will need to have at least a 55% score in your post-graduation from any university recognized by UGC.
